Bay Care Health System is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical Orthopedic team hony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. The Med/Surg Orthopedic unit provides care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and managing musculoskeletal conditions. Patient populations commonly include total joint replacements, fractures, spine procedures, and post‑operative orthopedic care, with a focus on mobility, pain management, and safe recovery.
The RN Responsibilities Include- Independently caring for a group of patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
- Coordinating and delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team
- Demonstrating professional accountability and commitment to ongoing development
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license required
- ACLS Certification, if required by department
- Nurse Specialty certification preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- 1 year of RN experience in acute care or
- 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Clinical skills appropriate to a Medical/Surgical Orthopedic setting
