Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Machinist, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Haddy was founded on the belief that advanced manufacturing should be accessible, sustainable, and locally scalable . We are building next-generation production systems that blend automation, digital manufacturing, and craftsmanship to enable rapid iteration and high-quality output. Our mission is to rethink how physical products are designed and made—bringing manufacturing closer to where people live and work.
CNC PROGRAMMER, NX CAMThe CNC Programmer role at Haddy requires a deep understanding of CNC machining and 5-axis programming across a variety of production environments. This role works closely with engineers, manufacturing teams, and operations to improve throughput, quality, and repeatability across our production lines.
You will be responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing CNC programs with a strong focus on tooling, fixtures, and manufacturability . The ideal candidate is comfortable working with complex surfacing, tight tolerances, and iterative design changes in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Program CNC parts using NX CAD/CAM .
- Simulate and verify NC programs (including revision control for programs and setup sheets).
- Select and optimize polymer/composite machining; choose tools, adjust speeds and feeds to maximize tool life and part quality.
- Create accurate representations of part fixturing strategies in CAD, so that collisions can be simulated accurately
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to suggest drawing or design changes that improve manufacturability and reduce cycle time.
- Design, machine, and validate fixture tooling.
- Support machine setup and operation as needed.
- Meet production, quality, and delivery targets in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Proactively communicate production blockers and constraints to manufacturing leadership.
- Continuously identify and propose process improvements related to tooling, programming, and workflow efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX ).
- Experience with complex surfacing and precision machining workflows/
- Experience working with mesh bodies & tool pathing off of mesh bodies
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience (including NX).
- Experience programming and operating multi-axis CNC mills and lathes .
- Experience with 6-DOF Robotic arms
- Background in tooling, fixturing, or tool-and-die–style applications .
- Experience in additive manufacturing, a definite plus if experience is in large format additive manufacturing
- Experience working with 3D scans of part to be machined
- Comfort working in a highly iterative environment where designs evolve rapidly.
- Experience in machining one-off prototypes.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, grasp, sit, push, pull, and carry as required for shop-floor work.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including multiple shifts, overtime, and weekends as production needs dictate.
- $70,000 - $85,000
Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, stock awards, and paid time off.
