The Director of Business Development is a part-time position, 20-30 hours per week, with rotating weekends.
We are seekingan enthusiastic and driven professional to assist with External Business Development and Admissions support for our dynamic 52-bed skilled nursing community. The ideal candidate will assist with the following:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase facility admissions and presence.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources and community partners.
- Conduct and participate in outreach, community events and networking opportunities.
- Support the admissions team to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process and provide additional assistance as directed.
- Serve as alternating weekend coverage for Admissions Director to address potential admissions.
- Participate in business development meetings as well as required all communications as requested.
The Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving maximum occupancy and total revenue potential of assigned communities by leading all outreach efforts and generating qualified prospects from professional referral sources.
Responsibilities- Responsible for outside marketing efforts to generate and increase professional referrals
- Responsible for calling on and developing new business relationships with professional referral networks
- Responsible for community outreach and education activities
- Conducts sales calls with current and potential referral sources and establishes relationships which result in increasing referrals to the communities
- Responsible for cultivating productive relationships with business resources to generate repeat referrals
- Address civic organizations, businesses and service organizations representing the communities
- Conducts presentations for potential referral sources
- Promotes the communities in a positive manner and effectively communicates Solvere Living values to professionals, residents, families, visitors, and team members
- Develops creative programs to identify and connect with key referral sources
- Participates in communities’ marketing education programs, communicates knowledge of their resources, and maintains a working knowledge of the competitors
- Represent the face and brand of Solvere Living / communities in the local community
- Assists with implementation of marketing plans to achieve occupancy goals, able to identify any barriers to success, including external market or product issues that impact the sales program
- Regularly meets goals, including but not limited to time in outreach zone, also supporting on-site sales activity
- Maintains and ensures all external and internal outreach activity is timely and accurately entered in Sherpa
- Keeps up to date about relevant, operational and competitive updates of key competitor evaluations and price surveys semi-annually
- Prepares and maintains accurate and timely records, analysis and studies as required
- Collaborates with community team members regarding referrals, evaluations and marketing activities and events
- Attends seminars and conferences to promote communities
- Participates a minimum of 2 days at each community during reviews of prospects in the pipeline, i.e. Hot Board
- Participates in sales meetings, including but not limited to semi-annual marketing meetings with Solvere
- Participates a minimum of 2 days at each community’s Stand-Up meeting providing updates to team members on referral updates, census, projected move-ins, tours, events, etc.
