Job Description
DEACON, MOULDS & STOFER
, a fast-paced insurance defense law firm, located in beautiful St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal with experience in long-term care / nursing home insurance defense.
- Manage confidential files for litigation matters
- Subpoena, intake, review and organization of voluminous medical records (overwhelmingly electronic records)
- Manage and meet discovery deadlines
- Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, mediation, arbitrations and trials

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines
- Ability to work with attorneys, paralegals and other office staff in a professional manner
- Ability to interact with adjusters, clients, facility, employees, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel and staff in a professional manner
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office / Adobe Pro
- Knowledge of Aderant Total Office 9.1 (or Client Profiles 9.0) a plus
- 3+ years as an insurance defense paralegal
- Florida Registered Paralegal preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledgeable of Florida Civil Court Rules
