AMS Professional Liability

AMS Professional Liability, an entity of DOXA Insurance, was formed in 1982 as a wholesale brokerage firm and program administrator to assist the independent insurance agent with the placement of professional liability. Since its origination, AMS has expanded its operations and specialty products such that it is one of the top specialty lines facilities in the state of Florida with a significant presence throughout the Southeast and Midwest United States.

Position

Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and client‑focused Associate Broker to join our team. The Associate Broker will support client relationships, internal teams, brokers, and underwriters by ensuring timely and accurate handling of insurance policies, endorsements, and service requests. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage client needs both reactively and proactively. The ideal candidate is motivated to grow into a full‑time broker role and take on increasing professional responsibility within our brokerage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support daily insurance workflow, including policy processing, documentation, and client communications
  • Assist brokers and underwriters with preparing, reviewing, and maintaining insurance policies and endorsements
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences
  • Serve as a point of contact for brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders routine inquiries
  • Shadow and learn from experienced team members to develop industry expertise
  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions, including work completed by offshore support
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to a positive team culture through engagement in company events and team activities
Qualifications
  • College Degree required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word)
  • Experience in an office or client‑facing environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when needed
  • Interest in professional growth and progression toward a full broker role

  • Annual bonus consideration after the first year (up to ~$5,000)
