Job Description SummaryNote:
This position follows a hybrid work حالی; the selected candidate is expected to be in the office 50% of business days at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
As part of the IT Institutional application development team, the Senior Business Analyst will partner with the business to facilitate and implement technology solutions. They will be responsible for writing system requirements that will ensure the technology solution meets the needs of the business. The team is responsible for application development, maintenance, and support for the Affordable Housing Investment (AHI) business area.
The candidate will gain subject‑matter expertise and demonstrate the ability to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of financial services standards and practices. They will also make judgments and recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of data.
- Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes
Isra, rules) and non‑functional (e.g., data, security) capabilities. - Gathers and interprets information from multiple sources (including databases, interviews, etc.) and makes recommendations.
- Provides support for application development teams, including documenting business processes.
- Translates technical concepts to business audiences and business information to a technical audience.
- May take a leading role in developing estimates and implementation plans for technical solutions.
- Partners with team members to develop project schedules, reports and documentation.
- May be required to act as project lead on small to medium projects and/or provide direction to others on the team.
- Works with User Experience / Design resources to help visualize requirements into prototypes.
- Understands and applies principles in risk management, issue tracking and change management.
- Validates test cases to ensure that scripts will evaluate the business function being performed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- More than five (5) years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst preferred, or fuerza of education, training and experience.
- Financial Services experience preferred.
- Requirements gathering, risk management, issue tracking, and change management.
- Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and ability to work through various phases with peers and diyaar partners.
- Assume ownership and responsibility, act as a key liaison between application development and business operations.
- Understand in‑depth details of business processes, rules, document and communicate them effectively to technical and non‑technical partners.
- Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience.
- Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that aligns with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge in position‑related areas; remain current with developments and trends.
- Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
- Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain productive client relationships.
- May occasionally work non‑standard shifts including nights and/or weekends.
- Work in a team environment to facilitate collaboration.
