Sr. Data Privacy Engineer

As part of the IT Enterprise Data Privacy & Protection team, this Senior Data Engineer is responsible for engineering solutions for critical data protection and obfuscation activities, building scalable and performant data discovery, analysis, protection, and operationalization solutions.

Location & Work Style

• Headquarters:
  St. Petersburg, FL (open to Southfield, MI site)
• Hybrid: office 2–3 days a week (10–12 days a month)
• Travel: less than 25%

Responsibilities

• Discover Sensitive/NPI/PII across databases and other formats using Informatica DPM and One Trust.
• Schedule DB scan jobs in DPM and One Trust to discover sensitive data.
• Review in‑scope sensitive attributes and create metadata & data rules using regex.
• Perform manual analysis to curate scan results for accuracy.
• Support ongoing data protection activities leveraging Informatica TDM.
• Create TDM packages to mask PII and update masking rules.
• Automate masking jobs with enterprise scheduling tools.
• Develop on Oracle & SQL database environments (on‑prem & cloud).
• Provide on‑call support for data masking batch processes.
• Execute other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• Experience:
  
  5–10 years of relevant development or engineering experience.
• Tool expertise:
  Informatica DPM, Informatica TDM, Informatica Power Center, One Trust AI & Data Discovery.
• Independent and mentoring ability.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Hands‑on Oracle database engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, compliance standards, GDPR, CCPA.
• Experience with privacy risk assessment tools and compliance frameworks.
• Programming:
  Python (machine learning libraries) – a significant advantage.
• Control‑M or BMC scheduling expertise.

Preferred

• Experience implementing One Trust Privacy Automation and integrating with Informatica DPM/TDM.
• Scripting:
  Python and R.
• Automated deployment experience.
• Service Now and collaboration tools automation.
• IAPP certified CIPP/CIPD.

Work Experience
: 3‑6 years (general).
