The RoleAs a Room Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest room is a spotless and welcoming home‑away‑from‑home. In addition to performing regular housekeeping duties, you will verify that each room has been cleaned meets quality and hotel standards.
- Ensure each guestroom is cleaned to company and brand standards
- Cover department responsibilities when Executive Housekeeper is not available
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc.
- Work with Executive Housekeeper to accomplish the goals of the department and the company
- Contribute to Virtelle’s culture by continually promoting a collaborative, proactive, and interactive working environment
- Know all relevant safety, emergency, and accident procedures
- Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your workspace
- Respond to guests’ and fellow team members’ needs promptly and ensure professional, courteous service and communication
- Respond appropriately with tact and professionalism in all situations
- Experience as a room attendant in a similar-sized or larger property
- Problem‑solving skills
- Able to thrive individually and as part of a team
- Basic math skills
- Well‑organized and self‑motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgement under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach and counsel others
- Moderate understanding of English and Spanish preferred
