The Role

As a Room Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest room is a spotless and welcoming home‑away‑from‑home. In addition to performing regular housekeeping duties, you will verify that each room has been cleaned meets quality and hotel standards.

  • Ensure each guestroom is cleaned to company and brand standards
  • Cover department responsibilities when Executive Housekeeper is not available
  • Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc.
  • Work with Executive Housekeeper to accomplish the goals of the department and the company
  • Contribute to Virtelle’s culture by continually promoting a collaborative, proactive, and interactive working environment
  • Know all relevant safety, emergency, and accident procedures
  • Ensure uniform and appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your workspace
  • Respond to guests’ and fellow team members’ needs promptly and ensure professional, courteous service and communication
  • Respond appropriately with tact and professionalism in all situations
Qualifications
  • Experience as a room attendant in a similar-sized or larger property
  • Problem‑solving skills
  • Able to thrive individually and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills
  • Well‑organized and self‑motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgement under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach and counsel others
  • Moderate understanding of English and Spanish preferred
