, the Rehabilitation Technician plays a vital role in supporting our rehabilitation team by assisting with patient care, maintaining therapy areas, and helping ensure high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. The Rehab Tech works under the supervision of licensed therapists to promote safe, effective, and compassionate care for our residents.
Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with treatment sessions as directed
Transport residents to and from therapy sessions safely and on time
Prepare therapy areas and equipment before and after treatments
Monitor residents during exercises and activities, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist
Provide encouragement and support to residents during rehabilitation activities
Clean, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas in accordance with infection control standards
Assist with non-skilled tasks related to patient care as permitted by state regulations
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies
Stock supplies and report equipment or maintenance needs promptly
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred
Ability to follow instructions and work under licensed supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to assist residents with mobility, including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
CPR/BLS certification
Coursework or interest in physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, or exercise science
Experience working with geriatric or skilled nursing populations
Compassionate, patient-centered approach

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Professional demeanor with residents, families, and staff
Skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility
Frequent interaction with residents requiring varying levels of assistance
Physically active role requiring mobility and endurance
