Rehabilitation Technician

, the Rehabilitation Technician plays a vital role in supporting our rehabilitation team by assisting with patient care, maintaining therapy areas, and helping ensure high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services. The Rehab Tech works under the supervision of licensed therapists to promote safe, effective, and compassionate care for our residents.

• Assist Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists with treatment sessions as directed

• Transport residents to and from therapy sessions safely and on time

• Prepare therapy areas and equipment before and after treatments

• Monitor residents during exercises and activities, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist

• Provide encouragement and support to residents during rehabilitation activities

• Clean, organize, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas in accordance with infection control standards

• Assist with non-skilled tasks related to patient care as permitted by state regulations

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies

• Stock supplies and report equipment or maintenance needs promptly

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred

• Ability to follow instructions and work under licensed supervision

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility, including lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods

• CPR/BLS certification

• Coursework or interest in physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, or exercise science

• Experience working with geriatric or skilled nursing populations

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
