Physical Therapist (PT) – Full-Time or Per Diem (Consistent Hours)
Aventura at the Bay, located in St. Petersburg, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation unit
. This role is available full-time or per diem
, with consistent and reliable hours
. The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal recovery and functional outcomes.
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to identify needs and establish individualized treatment goals.
Develop, implement, and progress personalized treatment plans based on best practices and patient response.
Apply therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to enhance recovery.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Educate patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and carryover strategies for post-discharge success.
Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with nursing staff, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain current knowledge of physical therapy practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Current Florida Physical Therapist license required.
Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Experience in subacute or rehabilitation settings preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
