Job Summary And Qualifications
We are currently seeking an ambitious Speech Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist on our team, you will plan and administer medically prescribed treatment programs for the rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders.
Your duties and responsibilities may include:- Evaluate the patient’s condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine the nature and degree of speech and language problems.
- Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures.
- Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
- Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary.
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
- State of Florida Speech‑Language Pathologist licensure required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in direct patient rehab.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
