Physical Therapist (PT) – Full-Time or Per Diem (Consistent Hours)

Aventura at the Bay, located in St. Petersburg, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation unit
. This role is available full-time or per diem
, with consistent and reliable hours
. The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal recovery and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to identify needs and establish individualized treatment goals.

  • Develop, implement, and progress personalized treatment plans based on best practices and patient response.

  • Apply therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to enhance recovery.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Educate patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and carryover strategies for post-discharge success.

  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

  • Maintain current knowledge of physical therapy practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications
  • Current Florida Physical Therapist license required.

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Experience in subacute or rehabilitation settings preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
