Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (All Children's Hospital)

All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is hiring for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Schedule:

  • Part-time hours
  • Wednesday and Thursday
  • 7:30am - 2:00pm
  • 13 week contract assignment

Pay Range
: $35 - $42

Responsibilities

Performs all Nuclear Medicine imaging, uptake and dilution studies; assists with PET/CT imaging to provide quality diagnostic exams while providing a high level of patient care; prepares radiopharmaceutical kits and patient doses; complies with State regulations regarding handling of radioactive materials; schedules all exams to ensure exam appropriateness and provides communication to families and physicians; coordinates daily patient flow.

  • Produces and evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients
  • Adheres to image specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies
  • Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient centered care
  • Complies with State of Florida regulations regarding receipt, handling, disposal and administration of radioactive materials
  • Demonstrates knowledge of various Nuclear Medicine equipment as well as PACs and RIS computer skills
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of an AMA accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • 2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • ARRT and/or NMTCB registries
  • Licensure by the State of Florida, Department of Health Office of Radiation Control
  • Current Basic Life Support CPR, AHA
