Position Summary

The CT Technologist will obtain quality diagnostic CT images for interpretation by the radiologist. The role also involves clerical duties and an understanding of computer systems such as RIS and PACS.

Key Accountabilities
  • Produces and evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care.
  • Adheres to image‑specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, regulatory and accreditation governing bodies.
  • Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient‑centered care.
  • Performs Computed Tomography Imaging (CT) studies utilizing knowledge of instrumentation and ionizing radiation (special attention to low dose), cross‑sectional anatomy, along with technology and skills to produce quality CT images for interpretation by a radiologist.
  • Qualifications
    • A minimum of a high school diploma, GED, certificate of completion, or equivalent achievement.
    • Completion of an AMA‑approved radiologic technology program.
    • Registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) in both radiography (R) and computed tomography (CT); licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health, Office of Radiation Control.
    • Current Basic Life Support, AHA certification.
    • Advanced knowledge of computer applications (RIS, and PACS).
    • Auditory and visual acuity to properly perform imaging tests and procedures; manual dexterity necessary to operate imaging equipment and computer applications.

    Location: St. Petersburg, FL

    Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (2‑12 hour shifts per week)

    Status: Part‑Time Limited (24 hours per week)

    Salary Range: Minimum $30.19/hour – Maximum $48.30/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

    In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
