CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. They communicate effectively with customers, including radiologists, and may train new technologists and/or patient coordinators.

• Ensure patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections and use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience;
  Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT.
• If registrable, certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography is acceptable in lieu of an ARRT registry.
• State license (licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable).
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver's License (technologists performing mid‑day moves).
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• COVID‑19 vaccination is (or may be) a condition of employment.
• All candidates must successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
