This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting essential financial processes such as month-end close, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, this position is ideal for professionals who are detail-oriented and thrive in managing complex accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including deferred revenue, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Conduct detailed variance analyses and deliver insightful reports to leadership.
- Manage revenue recognition processes, including billing schedules and deferral calculations.
- Reconcile customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
- Assist in preparing audit and tax documentation to meet compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, contributing to continuous process improvements.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and support reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector.
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and experience managing month-end close.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Dynamics GP, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas for analytical purposes.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
