Location:
St. Petersburg, FL — Onsite / In-Office/hybrid
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 DOE

- Lead the accounting function with a strategic mindset, ensuring financial integrity while supporting business objectives
- Own and optimize month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, building scalable and repeatable workflows
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Translate financial results into actionable insights through trend analysis, KPIs, and performance reporting
- Design and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to support growth and mitigate risk
- Oversee financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems, reporting tools, and automation opportunities
- Serve as primary point of contact for audits, tax coordination, and external financial partners
- Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership to align financial processes with business strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proven experience building or scaling accounting processes in a growing organization
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; ERP implementation or optimization experience a plus
- Strategic, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to influence and advise leadership
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating in a highly visible, in-office leadership role
