Retirement Plan Associate (Contract)
Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid) – 8:30am–5:30pm EST
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Contract: 6 month, potential for extension or direct transition.
Job SummaryThe Retirement Plan Associate supports the Retirement Plan Services department. The majority of the role involves processing forms and performing basic transactions such as handling rollovers, internal transfers, and death certificates. Phone interaction is minimal.
Responsibilities- Answer and respond to email inquiries regarding issues
- Process forms and perform basic transactions, such as handling rollovers, internal transfers, and death certificates
- Accurately diagnose issues and provide client-driven solutions that also meet IRS regulatory requirements
- Interpret rules and regulations by applying retirement plan knowledge
- Conduct audits of account activity to ensure transactions meet regulatory compliance
- Review client requests for corrections to determine proper course of action and provide guidance to branch personnel on resolution
- Maintain knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations, utilizing internal and external resources and continuous training
- Communicate, research, and resolve issues with other internal departments
- Review daily reports of individual productivity to evaluate personal performance
- At least 2 years of recent experience within the financial services, ideally the retirement planning industry, OR a bachelor’s degree in finance or related field with some professional work experience.
- Experience using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software is preferred.
- Experience working in a call center environment is preferred.
