Thermal Engineer, R&D

Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Thermal Engineer to join our R&D team in Saint Petersburg, FL, working directly with the Director of Research & Development and focusing on thermal system development, performance modeling, mechanical design support, and next‑generation cooling technology advancement for mission‑critical data centers. The Thermal Engineer needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Perform thermal and fluid system calculations supporting product development
  • Support mechanical system design and component selection
  • Translate performance targets into engineering requirements
• Modeling & Performance Optimization
  • Develop performance models and analytical tools
  • Evaluate system efficiency, delta‑T optimization, and operating stability
  • Compare modeled predictions with real‑world performance data
• Lab testing
  • Test program development & setup
  • Data acquisition & instrumentation
  • Testing execution
  • Data analysis & lab reporting
• Validation & Technical Documentation
  • Support structured validation of new and existing products
  • Analyze results and produce clear technical documentation

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics
