Photonics Packaging Engineer II – Jabil

As a Photonics Packaging Engineer you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of products and processes, applying engineering principles to solve technical challenges and support manufacturing operations.

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products, components, or systems, adhering to project timelines and specifications.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate designs and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure seamless product introduction and sustained production.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of technical issues arising during development or production, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, test plans, and reports.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for existing products and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Assist in the selection, qualification, and management of materials, components, and suppliers.
• Adhere to all company safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Physics or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials Science, or equivalent field) from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or product development environment.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo) for design and drafting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. The anticipated close date for this job requisition is January 14, 2026.
