Lead Instructional Coach, Alpha

Your role is to ensure that our "3 Promises" are delivered to every learner in your cohort while coaching Guides to achieve the same outcomes.

You will combine expert coaching techniques with dynamic presentation skills, transforming workshops, data-informed team sessions, and precise feedback into powerful developmental experiences. • Developing Guides to deliver Alpha's workshop experiences at an elite standard
• Building comprehensive Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, design engaging learning activities, and address common obstacles
• Delivering consistent, targeted feedback to Guides that drives improved student engagement and results
• Coaching a focused group of students directly, demonstrating exemplary motivation and instructional techniques

• Designing traditional lesson plans – Guides enable student learning through adaptive technology; your role centers on preparing them to inspire and motivate
• Compromising on expectations – when the standard is 100%, your responsibility is to uphold it
• Running dull training sessions – your Guide development will be dynamic, energetic, and experiential

Develop Guides and support students to ensure every learner in your cohort enjoys school, progresses at 2× the standard rate, and acquires essential life skills. Standards are non-negotiable.

• Currently residing in, or prepared to relocate for, onsite work at an Alpha Campus (Bethesda, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA)
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a closely related area
• Proven track record of creating and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training solutions
• Established leadership and coaching abilities with experience building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams
• Background working with young people (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings
• Skilled in data analysis and leveraging performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement
• Authorized to work legally in the United States
