Construction Assistant Project Manager (APM)

, you’ll play a key part in executing major commercial, residential, and specialty projects from kickoff through completion. - Project Coordination & Execution
- Support construction leadership in managing the project lifecycle from kickoff to closeout.
- Coordinate communication across Engineering, VDC, Procurement, Prefab, Field Operations, and Safety teams.
- Track schedules, budgets, change orders, material logistics, and overall project progress.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including scopes, plans, RFI logs, meeting minutes, and status updates.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries to keep work moving efficiently.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, general contractors, and external partners.
- Participate in meetings to communicate risks, milestones, critical decisions, and project impacts.
- Maintain alignment with quality standards, company processes, and project expectations.
- Risk Mitigation & Compliance
- Monitor project risks, conflicts, schedule impacts, and resource constraints.
- Support field teams in maintaining safety compliance and execution best practices.
- Assist with punch lists, field documentation, and closeout readiness.
- Financial & Administrative Support
- Track budgets, forecasts, invoices, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records including contracts, logs, and revision documents.
- Support cost control and value‑engineering initiatives.
- 1–4 years of construction experience as an APM, project coordinator, or similar role, preferably supporting a general contractor or large‑scale projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and project management fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or comparable platforms.
- Experience supporting $10M+ projects or complex upgrade work preferred.
- Exposure to multi‑site or national portfolios preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience preferred.
