Culinary Camp Counselor, Speer YMCA (Summer 2026)

The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is now hiring Culinary Camp Counselors to lead fun, engaging culinary camps for children ages 5‑12.

• Host exciting and interactive cooking camps for young campers
• Teach basic cooking and baking skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition
• Promote proper safety, sanitation, and food‑handling practices
• Collaborate on planning the culinary curriculum and assist with purchasing supplies
• Create a welcoming, energetic, and consistent camp experience for all participants

• A culinary degree is not required
• Strong kitchen skills and a passion for cooking are essential
• Experience working with children is preferred
• Positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with youth

• Duration: 10‑week Summer Camp
• Location:

• Pay Rate: $18‑$20 per hour (based on experience)
