Job Title: Two's Program Assistant (Full-Time), Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy
Description: In this role, you'll help create a fun, engaging, and safe environment where children can grow and learn while upholding the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. - Help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children
- Support lead teachers with daily activities and classroom supervision
- Foster the YMCA's core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring
- Assist with implementing curriculum and guiding structured and free play activities
- Promote positive behavior and help maintain classroom routines
- Attend to children's basic needs including meals, rest, and outdoor play
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and family engagement events
- 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CDA credential or equivalent preferred
- Completion of DCF MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Parts 1 &
2) - 1+ year of experience working with children in a developmental setting
- Able to work with infants, toddlers, and young children both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, talk, hear, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be comfortable participating in activities and engaging physically with children
- Vision requirements include close/distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Pay & Perks: Full-time,$14.75–$20.00/hour (based on experience). Schedule is Monday through Friday.
