Tax Preparer

Description

We are seeking a Seasonal Tax Preparer to help support during the peak tax season. This is a 100% onsite role based in St. Petersburg, FL, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing individual and basic corporate tax returns, is comfortable managing multiple returns per day, and can work efficiently with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare 1040 individual and 1120 corporate tax returns

+ Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy

+ Enter and process tax data using detail-oriented tax preparation software

+ Prepare supporting schedules, including Schedule A, Schedule C, and other common schedules

+ Complete 2-3 simple returns per day or 1-2 more complex returns, depending on workload

+ Communicate with internal team members regarding missing information or needed updates

+ Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and efficiency during peak period

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

+ A minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on tax preparation experience Experience preparing both individual (1040) and corporate (1120) returns

+ Prior experience preparing individual and basic corporate tax returns

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

+ Ability to manage multiple returns daily in a deadline-driven environment

+ Comfortable working onsite and adapting quickly with limited training
