Job Overview:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s financial health. You’ll be responsible for managing the month-end close process, reconciling bank accounts, and handling accruals and prepaids. Your analytical skills will be utilized in preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and conducting variance analyses. This position offers great exposure to general ledger accounting, as well as opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

• Oversee month-end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on variances from budget and forecasts.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• The Senior Accountant will assist in process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Qualifications desired for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger accounting.
• Experience with Great Plains software is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL, Hybrid (2 days on-site).

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience.
