Sports Program Manager - South City YMCA (Education)

Responsibilities
  • Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities.
  • Work with the director to determine current needs for the program.
  • Ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.
  • Manage communication through media relations, social media, etc.
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.
  • Support growth and program development.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Secure and schedule athletic fields and facilities.
  • Organize and conduct parent orientation meetings.
  • Organize and conduct coaches training and meetings.
  • Create teams from paid and financially assisted registrations.
  • Develop and distribute team practice and game schedules.
  • Train and schedule sports officials.
  • Develop and distribute sports rules, guidelines and handbooks.
  • Purchase and distribute team uniforms and awards.
  • Coordinate and distribute team photographs.
  • Organize and host season parties and events.
  • Transports and sets up equipment for games and practices.
  • Monitor and purchase necessary sporting equipment.
  • Organizes and conducts sports clinics.
