- Equipment installation and preventative maintenance: install and set up proprietary ALPLA equipment, conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks, and perform minor modifications and adjustments to enhance performance.
- Predictive maintenance: utilize condition monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify potential issues before downtime, assess equipment health, analyze data trends, and plan maintenance actions.
- Troubleshooting and repairs: diagnose technical problems, collaborate with technical experts, and execute repairs on molding machines to restore functionality promptly.
- Facility Maintenance Support: contribute to general facility maintenance, maintain a safe and organized environment, and collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well‑maintained production environment.
- Perform a basic‑skilled level of maintenance activities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - 2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with power transmission systems and industrial controls.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience with programmable controllers.
- Knowledge of occupational math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Problem‑solving and team collaboration capabilities.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and very occasionally climb or balance.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision.
