Merchandiser- St. Peters, MO

Overview

The Merchandiser assists with sales and brand awareness, with knowledge of Dietz & Watson products as they relate to the deli. This is a full-time hourly position with potential overtime and a benefits package.

• Safely operate a deli slicer
• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
• Understand and execute schematics/planograms
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson POS
• Be a self-starter, work in a team environment or with little supervision
• Manage time effectively and productively
• Complete all necessary reports including store surveys
• Provide consistent coverage to all stores within the assigned territory based on store ranking
• Visit stores regularly, document concerns/problems (e.g., shortages, equipment problems, ordering issues) and address them in a timely manner
• Build and maintain customer relationships with deli managers, employees, and store customers
• Possess knowledge to create and market Dietz & Watson programs
• Train new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when needed
• Communicate information to the Merchandiser Manager (e.g., grand openings, store closings)
• Utilize monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution
• Explore opportunities for sales growth with the Merchandiser Manager
• Maintain full displays and a clean, sanitary work environment
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory

• Full-Time Hourly Position - $19.00 - $21.00 based on experience
• Weekly payroll via Direct Deposit
• Ability to earn 5+ hours per week of overtime
• Monthly Car Allowance/ Expenses Reimbursement on select travel

• Flexibility and ability to travel (including flying) up to 30% of the time
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills
• Must be able to exercise independent decision-making skills regularly
• Must be available to work weekends on occasion
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred; deli experience is a plus
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass the company issued Serv Safe Manager exam
