Food Service Worker
Pay Range: $16.75/hr - $20.06/hr (Base pay range)
Employment Type: Part‑time (24 hours per week)
Shift Availability: 8‑hour shifts between 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM, rotating holidays, every other weekend
Location: Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital, St. Peters, MO
About the Hospital: Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital is a 102‑bed community hospital serving families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. It provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, Breast Health and Women’s Center, Cardiology Center, Neurosurgery Center, and Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center and holds a Level II stroke certification.
Role
Purpose:
Perform food service functions such as setting up service areas, food portioning, serving, sanitation, operating the cash register, assembling patient trays, and assisting with customer requests. Position may include food preparation at some locations.
Responsibilities:
- Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
- Assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
- Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
- Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
- Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
Minimum Requirements: No experience required.
Preferred Requirements: None specified.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
