Job Summary
The City of St. Peters Parks Department is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a Part‑Time Parks Maintenance Crew Member
. This position supports the upkeep of the City's twenty‑five parks and twenty‑ miles of recreation trails, helping ensure clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for the community.
Varies. Part‑time staff typically work three to four days per week from April through October and two to three days per week from November through March, with rotating weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Park & Facility Maintenance: Perform general labor to maintain and repair parks, playgrounds, trails, and related amenities.
- Event & Program Support: Assist with City‑sponsored special events, private facility reservations, and special projects as assigned.
- Equipment Operation: Operate light equipment, power tools, motorized equipment, and City vehicles; perform minor equipment maintenance as needed.
- Public Interaction: Provide courteous customer service by informing and educating park visitors on park policies and procedures.
- Seasonal Duties: Perform limited snow removal during winter months to support safe access to City facilities.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid Missouri motor vehicle operator's license.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 75 pounds.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
