Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a telemetry position on the night shift, requiring a MO or compact RN license and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with total joint replacements, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic cases, and medical COVID patients
- Average daily census of 16 and patient ratios of 1:4-6
- Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30 with every third weekend required
- Floating required between Progress West and St. Peters as needed
- Epic EMR system is used, and charting experience is required
- Some initial orientation may occur outside the typical contract shift schedule
- Light gray or silver scrubs are required
- Free parking is available in the parking lot
- No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Holiday staffing may be required as scheduled
- Travelers may stay for 18 months with a required 3-month break after that period
- Modules and training will be compensated up to 16 hours during pre-start or orientation
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry RN experience required
- Experience in post-cath lab management and neuro/stroke care in an inpatient setting preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
- No previous BJC permanent employment within the past year
