Shipping Clerk

We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Shipping Clerk in our Shipping department. The Shipping Clerk position is responsible for preparing items for shipment by performing duties to quality and productivity standards.

• Pull and fulfill requested orders from inventory.
• Ensure correct items have been pulled for shipment.
• Operate as a team player who is thorough, detail-oriented, observant, and has technical abilities.
• Operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks.
• Operate shrink wrap machine.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 10 lbs.
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 25 lbs.
• Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk to pull orders for 5 to 8 hours at a time.
• Other tasks as assigned.

This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance.

You may have experience in a manufacturing facility. We prefer you have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).

Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;

talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

As a Shipping Clerk, each morning you will meet your team in the Shipping Office at 7:00 a.m. for the morning huddle. We will review the plan for the day and have short discussions as needed. We will scan, pull, stack, and wrap orders that need to ship for the day. At noon we break for lunch and return to finish up orders for the day.

Our day ends at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesdays, you will go to the lunchroom at 11:40 a.m. for the Cosmos Minute, with company announcements at 11:45 a.m. On Fridays, you will meet in the shipping department at 7:00 a.m. for the Production Cosmos Minute.
