Overview
The City of St. Peters is seeking a Lead Building Attendant to support daily operations at Rec-Plex North and Rec-Plex South. This role serves as a lead resource for Building Attendant staff by providing on-site guidance, coordinating daily tasks, and helping ensure facilities are clean, safe, and event ready. The Lead Building Attendant works alongside the team while assisting with scheduling, customer service, and facility coordination to support smooth operations across the Rec-Plex.
ShiftNormal Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a lead point of contact for Building Attendant staff during assigned shifts.
- Assist with coordinating daily work assignments and priorities.
- Perform skilled custodial, janitorial, and facility support tasks, including cleaning, sanitation, light maintenance, and snow and ice control.
- Assist with monitoring facility conditions and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
- Provide customer service support and respond to questions or concerns from patrons.
- Assist with recordkeeping, scheduling support, and facility coordination as directed.
- Utilize chemicals, tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and effectively.
- Perform all work in compliance with established City safety standards.
- Perform other work as assigned.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
- Three (3) years' performing skilled building attendant, custodial or janitorial tasks required for public facilities.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry it a reasonable distance and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's license valid in the state of Missouri.
- High school graduate or GED equivalency.
- Experience leading a small group of employees.
- Considerable knowledge of Max Galaxy, or similar room reservation software including facility and personnel scheduling.

Salary: $21.84 - $23.17 per hour
