Senior Registered Behavior Technician - PRN

Under the general direction of the assigned BCBA and/or BCaBA, the Senior RBT will provide clinical instruction and behavior reduction principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and other related disorders, and assist in the development of materials to enhance the patients learning experience. The Senior RBT will communicate with the patient’s family to share progress as it occurs to promote continuity of implementation of intervention strategies.

The Senior RBT will maintain regular communication with their assigned BCBA and/or BCaBA. The Senior RBT will train and educate staff on clinical skills, client protocols, and material development. Essential components of this position are listed below but are subject to change at the discretion of Mercy Kids Autism Therapy Services and Mercy Kids Autism Center. • Provide clinical instruction and ABA-based behavior reduction strategies to children with autism and related disorders.
• Develop and assist in materials to enhance patient learning experiences.
• Communicate with assigned patient families to share progress and promote continuity of intervention strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with the assigned BCBA and/or BCaBA.
• Train and educate staff on clinical skills, client protocols, and material development.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, speech and hearing services, child and human development, or related field OR an Associate’s degree in the same areas with 2 years of related experience OR a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience.
• Required Certification: Must hold and maintain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Must hold and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
• Must hold and maintain certification in MANDT.
• Must hold NPI number for Behavior Technician.
• Must hold and maintain Tricare certification.
• Must hold and maintain Mercy credential.

• At least 2 years of documented experience as an RBT or related position.
• Knowledge of child development.
• Experience working with children who may demonstrate aggressive behaviors.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children with a diagnosis of autism.
• At least 6 months of exemplary performance as an RBT at Mercy Kids.

• At least 2 years of exemplary performance as an RBT at Mercy Kids.
• Experience with Verbal Behavior and Natural Environment Teaching.
• Experience with online data collection systems.
