Truck Driver Nights & Weekends

Health Systems Cooperative Laundries SCHEDULE

Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must load and unload your own truck.
• Loading and securing clean linen carts in the delivery trucks.
• Operating the vehicles and delivering the clean linens to the clinics.
• Maintaining the delivery schedule and completing the assigned deliveries on time.
• Loading and securing the soiled linen carts and maintaining functional separation from clean linens if necessary.
• Off-loading the soiled linens and weighing carts at the soil area scale.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift, such as push, pull, and lift.
• Ability to push and pull up to 500lbs
• Energetic, self-starter

• Valid Driver's License
• Maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Proficient ability to speak and understand English.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk most of the day and also required to repeat motions to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must constantly push and pull up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Fast-paced production environment - non-climate-controlled environment. Union environment with diverse workforce with multiple languages. Seven days per week operation - weekends required - nights may be required.
