About The Position

This Regional OTR opportunity will be based in Bayport, MN or Menomonie, WI. The driver will haul dedicated Andersen freight, delivering windows and doors to dealers and picking up raw materials. The role requires safe driving, top‑notch customer service, and knowledge of our products.

  • Monday – Friday, home every weekend.
  • Opportunity for weekend work.
  • Dedicated Andersen freight—only 3 to 4 nights out per week.
  • $0.65/mile with paid stops and detention time.
  • Quarterly payout in Profit Sharing.
  • Paid Uniform—annually.
  • Boot program—annually.
  • Training—new drivers work with an experienced driver to learn routes, customers, and products.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely assist in loading and unloading products at customer locations or return points; driver will handle windows and doors.
  • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights.
  • Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and vehicle maneuvering in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or tight loading dock areas.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver logs, possible fuel purchases, mileage records, and other required documents.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Act as a professional representative of Andersen Corporation.
  • Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content; if unable, direct customers to the appropriate contact at Andersen.
Qualification And Skill Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record.
  • At least 2 years of previous tractor–trailer (or straight truck) driving experience, including winter driving.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations; general mental ability to handle receipts, maps, road signs, and logs.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take directions via onboard computer system and by phone.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection, and maintenance.
  • Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
  • Satisfactorily pass a drug test.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods.
  • Ability to shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals.
  • Ability to squatting or crouching to handle and secure windows and doors.
  • Capability to push or pull windows and doors weighing up to 100 pounds on a dolly or cart.
  • Capability to carry windows and doors weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to reach cargo at various heights and maneuver controls while operating the truck.
  • Ability to hook/unhook commercial vehicle combinations, lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth‑wheel lever, lock and release pintle hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb in and out of vehicles, fuel vehicles, and check engine oil and coolant levels.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate is $0.65 CPM.
  • Pay is based on experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Specific details will be shared by the recruiter during the hiring process.
  • Pay Range: $34.35 – $34.35 per hour.
