Water Treatment Technician

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Details

    Location:

    St. Paul, Minnesota
  • Local Route: within 100-200 miles radius of St. Paul
  • Potential for some overnight trips.
  • Pay: $28–$30 per hour (based on experience)
  • Overtime opportunities available.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a 16‑ft Box Truck.
  • Ensure safe execution of all service and operations.
  • Follow all safety practices and policies in driving, field work, and customer locations; use risk assessments, LOTO, confined space procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, installation, repair, re‑bed, or startup of media‑based water treatment systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, installation, repair, and startup of reverse osmosis or other membrane systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems.
  • Establish daily route based on schedule and call‑center assignments.
  • Perform services according to Nalco Water/Ecolab Standard.
  • Prepare and load trucks for next day.
  • Serve as customer‑facing ambassador; communicate professionally with customers, sales representatives, and corporate staff by phone, e‑mail, and in person.
  • Deliver all equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Connect equipment, perform QC and record‑keeping tasks.
  • Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Fix minor mechanical issues.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date DOT logging.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Can work independently without regular supervision.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • No immigration sponsorship is offered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of repair, troubleshooting, or field service experience (pure water equipment experience preferred).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and team.
  • Experience with power jack/pallet jack/forklift.
  • Background in plumbing, electrical, or mechanical work.
  • Current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid CDL‑B permit issued by the state where you reside.
Compensation

The pay range for this position is $46,300 – $69,500. Compensation is based on experience, education, training, geography, and other factors. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
