: $31,000.00/yr - $34,000.00/yr

What this job involves: As a Security Officer at JLL, you will work with diverse internal and external stakeholders at a client site while providing comprehensive support services to maintain campus safety and security. Your fundamental role is to keep the campus safe and provide security for our client's employees, property, and visitors through vigilant observation and an “observe and report” approach.

This position requires you to operate with the highest level of integrity while representing JLL and our client, ensuring your words and actions reflect our commitment to professional excellence and ethical conduct.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Conduct high-visibility patrols by positioning your vehicle in active campus areas while avoiding extended stationary periods
• Perform radio checks at the start of each patrol and inform the Communication Center of your location when leaving the patrol vehicle
• Conduct limited building rounds as necessary while maintaining security protocols
• Actively monitor campus, buildings, perimeter, and employees using security camera systems while in the Security Communication Center
• Answer telephones and refer questions to Uniformed Security Officer while learning to operate Commend System and internal tools
• Assist with security and safety-related tasks and projects when needed
• Maintain friendly, polite, and respectful demeanor in all interactions with employees, customers, and visitors
• Promptly communicate security issues to the client security team using proper radio etiquette
• Respond swiftly to calls for assistance and emergencies while ensuring immediate response protocols
• Foster a welcoming work environment for individuals of all genders, races, cultures, ages, and abilities through supportive behavior
• Adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and maintain professional standards at all times

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Driver's License
• Ability to pass background checks and maintain security clearance
• Ability to sit for extended periods and demonstrate strong mobility to move quickly during emergencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for professional interaction
• Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and visual)
• Understanding and compliance with law and JLL Code of Ethics
• Commitment to acting with integrity and transparency while reporting suspected violations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous security experience in a corporate or campus environment
• Knowledge of security camera systems and monitoring equipment
• Experience with radio communication protocols and emergency response procedures
• Understanding of safety and security best practices in facility management
• Background in customer service within a professional environment
