Traveling Store Display Associate / Merchandiser

Join our team as a Traveling Store Display Associate / Merchandiser at Dollar Tree Stores. This traveling position is based in the Saint Paul regional area.

General

Summary:

A Store Display Associate will assist individually or in a team with all assigned operations tasks including opening new stores, renovating existing ones, completing special projects, and supporting store operators during non‑project times.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in a variety of projects such as renovations, new store openings, relocations, expansions, and other special projects.
• Conduct merchandising and product placement.
• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize items, and transfer stockroom inventory to the store; build and tear down fixtures.
• Set schematics, zone graphics, and other merchandise templates.
• Perform cleaning activities.
• Provide customer service as needed.
• Complete other tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Assist with day‑to‑day store activities related to projects as directed by the Store Display Coordinator or Lead.
• Ensure all project tasks are completed timely and meet company standards.
• Communicate proactively with the Store Display Coordinator/Lead and team members.
• Collaborate with store operations and development management to exceed project expectations.
• Support other SDAs, Store Display Coordinators, and Leads as business needs dictate.
• Maintain a safe working environment at job sites.
• Implement new procedures, best practices, tools, and efficiencies for all projects.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel up to 100% of the time to project sites; overnight travel is required.
• Work on 14‑day consecutive schedules for each project unless state rest periods apply.
• Must be able to drive and fly.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be able to work non‑traditional hours.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 60 lbs.
• Climb, walk, and stand for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years related retail experience; preference for full‑time or part‑time retail store management.
• Technical: Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); ability to learn new applications.
