The Pediatric Infectious Disease division is a dynamic program that includes nine physicians and one nurse practitioner, with a collaborative approach to clinical practice, decision-making, and sub-sub-specialty interests. The program cares for children with acute and chronic infectious disorders in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, as well as those from eastern North Dakota and northern Iowa. The Pediatric Infectious Disease group practices at Children’s Minnesota’s two hospital-based sites in Minneapolis and St.
Paul, which include large neonatal and pediatric ICUs and a large and growing Cardiovascular ICU with a heart transplant program. Minnesota’s primary perinatal and pediatric HIV care program also resides here.

Work collaboratively with hospitalist medicine and emergency medicine providers, along with a full complement of pediatric medical and surgical specialists. Additional partners include a robust Immunology program, which includes two physicians and one nurse practitioner.
