Department Overview: The pediatric emergency department at Children’s Minnesota St. Paul hospital is a 32-bed, Level IV trauma center specializing in the assessment and stabilization of acute pediatric illness, injury and trauma. The multidisciplinary care team—more than 150 pediatric professionals—carries out care for over 45,000 patients annually. The emergency department offers 24‑hour access, private rooms, two resuscitation rooms, and is staffed with board‑certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and certified pediatric emergency registered nurses.
Position Summary: The Clinical Support Associate will provide safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintain equipment and supplies per unit standard. The role requires completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completion of a nursing or health‑care related clinical practicum. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

- Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent preferred.
- Proficient communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English for job functions.
- Basic computer operation skills.
Physical Demands: Standard duties of a nursing assistant—standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling—are required.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary in the range of $18.00‑$24.00 per hour. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Night, weekend, or on‑call work may qualify for shift differentials or premium pay.
