Background
The Southeast Asian Freedom Network (SEAFN) is excited to announce a new initiative, with our member organization, Transforming Generations (TG) in Minnesota. In this critical political moment, we are joining TG to build local capacity to meet the moment while expanding our national coordination. In response to current challenges—including limited funding, infrastructure gaps, and the urgent need to grow Southeast Asian leadership—we are launching a joint initiative: a shared position that will support both organizations’ goals.
This new model strengthens capacity, sustains critical programs, and deepens collaboration across SEAFN’s network. As a pilot effort, this shared role will also help develop best practices for future partnerships across the network.
Founded in 2016, Transforming Generations (TG) was established by Hmong advocates to provide culturally relevant support for Hmong survivors of gender-based violence. TG believes in each person’s capacity to heal, grow, and define their own path toward change. Its mission is to organize, educate, and transform cultural and power dynamics to end gender-based violence, with a vision of a world where gender equity is the norm and violence is never accepted.
AboutSEAFN
