Overview
Northern Iron is looking for a Maintenance Planner Supervisor for our foundry. This position involves planning and scheduling maintenance activities, directing a team of technicians, ensuring resource availability like parts and labor, and using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work and improve long-term maintenance strategies. The Planner / Supervisor also coordinates with other departments, such as production, and manages personnel actions.

Must have previous experience in a heavy industrial maintenance planner or supervisory role.
Planning and scheduling: Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, using CMMS.
Coordinate with production to create schedules that minimize disruption and align with business needs.
Create preliminary and final schedules for the upcoming week.
Resource management: Ensure all necessary parts, materials, and external services are available for planned jobs.
Manage ordering, receiving, and stocking of maintenance parts, consumables, and supplies.
Maintain an organized and accurate inventory system within the CMMS.
Team and personnel management: Supervise, lead, and manage a team of maintenance technicians.
Train new technicians and oversee their work.
Coordination and communication: Act as a liaison between the maintenance team, production, and management.
Communicate job status, schedule updates, and part information to stakeholders.
Conduct job site inspections and walk-throughs to assess needs and identify potential issues before a job starts.
Strategy and continuous improvement: Use data and analysis from the CMMS to improve maintenance strategies.
Ensure health, safety, and other regulations are followed.
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in inventory and supply chain management
Experience with management software and CMMS systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Must have previous experience in a heavy industrial maintenance planner / supervision role.
Education: High School Diploma or GED;
Technical degree preferredExperience: 3–5 years of related experience required

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (8-hour shifts with overtime as needed; flexible with hours)
Salary: $36 - $42 per hour
