Dessert Holdings is looking for a Senior Manager, 3PL Operations & Strategy to oversee the design and improvement of an efficient and effective third-party warehouse system and operations. There will be a focus on the performance of 3PL partners, ensuring compliance with company standards for customer service, aging, on-time performance, inventory accuracy, inventory loss, and damage/loss rates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage third-party storage facilities across the Dessert Holdings network, including budget and cost management and vendor selection and performance.
- Responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to our customers.
- Manage inventory levels and aging at each warehouse location to minimize obsolescence.
- Leverage supply chain modeling and decision support to optimize supply chain design, resulting in the highest possible service levels with the lowest possible cost.
- Manage strategic and day-to-day relationships with business partners and customer supply chains.
- Generate, optimize and develop innovative, cost-effective systems and processes that enable growth and supply chain efficiency.
- Measure and track performance through the use of scorecards and KPI’s for cost, quality, and service.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to identify and evaluate opportunities for supply chain efficiency.
- Influence and develop cross functional team members – setting goals for key initiatives acting as both leader and team member.
- Report monthly on freight audit and cost tracking.
- Manage pallet rental programs for Dessert Holdings.
- Four-year degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration
- 7+ years of experience including supply chain leadership with progressive operating and strategic experience
- Continuing education including certifications such as APICS, PMO, etc. is preferred
- Experience in logistics planning, network design, and GTM planning via customer networks
- Prior experience in fast-paced food/consumer products with frozen goods experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including ability to influence cross-functionally
- Direct experience with leading RFP/RFQ, network analysis, negotiation, and vendor selection in the U.S. and Canada
- Knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems, WMS, and advanced planning tools and systems
- Ability to travel occasionally to customer/supplier locations throughout North America
