Senior Project Manager – Commercial Solar

St. Paul, MN (Mostly Onsite) | Occasional travel to MA

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 base + discretionary bonus.

Our client, a growing commercial solar company, is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead rooftop solar construction projects across a large commercial portfolio. This is a hands‑on, onsite role overseeing projects from 500 kW to 25 MW, with responsibility for both execution and team leadership.

This position is ideal for a senior‑level project manager who understands commercial rooftop solar from the ground up and enjoys mentoring teams while managing multiple projects at once.

• Lead and deliver commercial rooftop solar construction projects (500 kW–25 MW)
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a portfolio‑level mindset
• Mentor and support Project Managers and Project Coordinators
• Track and communicate project status, schedules, budgets, and risks
• Partner closely with internal electrical and construction teams
• Lead internal and external project meetings
• Ensure compliance with safety, permitting, quality, and code requirements
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues before they impact delivery

• 5+ years commercial solar project management experience
• Hands‑on rooftop solar experience on the commercial side (required)
• Proven experience leading or overseeing project teams
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and permitting
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and building standards
• OSHA 10 certification (required)
• OSHA 30 (must be obtained within 30 days if not current)
• Project Management certification (must be obtained within 18 months if not current)
• $120K–$155K base salary, depending on experience
