The Facilities & Program Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining Hearts & Hammers’ warehouse, trailers, tools, and equipment to ensure Program Days run smoothly and efficiently. This role supports program delivery by preparing and delivering materials, managing inventory, assisting with exterior home inspections, and completing minor repair work when needed. The Specialist plays a key role in creating consistent, reliable operations that support volunteers and enhance the homeowner experience.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities & Inventory Management
- Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and accessible.
- Track and manage inventory using Hearts & Hammers’ QR-based inventory system.
- Scan materials and tools in and out using mobile devices and barcode scanners.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and notify leadership of shortages or supply needs.
- Ensure trailers, tools, and equipment are clean, functional, and Program Day ready.
- Program Day Logistics
- Load trailers with required tools and materials in preparation for Program Days.
- Drive a pickup truck with a 10-foot trailer to transport tools, materials, and equipment.
- Deliver and retrieve trailers as needed to support program operations.
- Unload trailers after Program Days and reinventory materials and equipment.
- Program Support
- Assist with exterior home inspections to assess project eligibility and scope of work.
- Pressure‑wash home exteriors in preparation for Program Days.
- Support Program Day setup and troubleshooting as needed.
- Help ensure materials and equipment are available to support efficient project completion.
- Home Repair Support
- Complete minor exterior repairs and paint touch‑ups for homeowners as assigned.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in alignment with Hearts & Hammers’ quality standards.
- Help maintain tools and equipment used for repair work.
- Equipment & Vehicle Operation
- Safely operate Hearts & Hammers vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Comfortable using QR-based inventory systems, barcode scanners, and mobile devices.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, and Drive).
- Comfortable driving a pickup truck with a 10-foot trailer.
- Comfortable performing physical, hands‑on work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials.
- Organized, dependable, and detail oriented.
