Highland Chateau Health + Rehabilitation Center

Pay Range: $23-$25/Hour
(Wage offered will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.)
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Director is responsible for the overall upkeep, safety, and regulatory compliance of the facility and grounds. This position oversees preventative maintenance, repairs, life safety systems, and vendor coordination while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage all maintenance operations, including building systems, equipment, and grounds
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), CMS, Life Safety Code, and other regulatory requirements
- Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Maintain life safety systems including fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, and emergency lighting
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and service vendors
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and inspection documentation
- Participate in surveys, audits, and inspections; address deficiencies as needed
- Assist with capital improvement projects and budget planning
- Ensure a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 2–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, generators)
- Familiarity with Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory standards
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks as required
- Valid driver’s license
