Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upkeep of assigned properties. This role ensures the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of buildings and grounds while supporting operational efficiency and compliance.
The RoleOur maintenance technicians play a valuable role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our tenants, guests, and employees. Through repairs and routine safety care, this position is essential to our success. This role requires a courageous and innovative team member who works to ensure that services have an equitable impact and positive outcomes for all individuals being served, with a specific focus on outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).
The incumbent will directly collaborate with the facility’s manager and other leadership staff to achieve our organizational goals.
- Complete assigned work orders promptly and document them in Yardi or other applicable software.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and implement preventive maintenance to safeguard the asset’s physical structure and fixtures.
- Conduct building repairs and prepare vacant units for move‑in, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Remove trash and abandoned furniture from vacant units.
