Sorting and staging letters and boxes on a dock, checking in packages using a provided scanning device with a provided app, moving packages via small carts and flat bed carts, delivering to mailstops across campus using maps. Picking up outgoing packages from mailstops and staging to outgoing teams in the distribution center. Looking up tracking numbers on a provided computer, responding to customer emails with package delivery details.
Posting letter mail via USPS postage machine, sorting letter mail, preparing and labeling outgoing Fed Ex packages. Moving packages inter-campus on request. Flexible, team oriented, able to follow directions and, once trained, able to self-start and stay on task. Able to follow a general schedule but open to deviation for emergencies (e.g., bad weather, truck delays, site construction). Able to read campus maps, use basic Microsoft Office, and respond professionally to customer emails.
Physical: standing and walking; lifting/moving up to 50 pounds; heavier lifts with assistance. Parking is free.
- Fulfill orders received through a Power App, including staging, printing, collating, and packing according to customer specifications.
- Utilize Fed Ex Shipping Manager and customer shipping software. Accuracy is critical as products are financial in nature.
- Mandatory attendance during the middle two weeks of each month, with possible overtime for permanent employees.
- Strong computer proficiency; all communication occurs via Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Operate high-volume duplicating, production, sorting, mailing, and bindery equipment.
- Perform copying tasks, shipping and receiving, and electronic document filing.
- Maintain copier functionality, including basic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct scanning/imaging, quality control, and final checks.
- Maintain records for reports and inventory; enter activities/jobs into a Google Document log.
- Respond to and coordinate service calls; assist with filing and archiving.
- Operate equipment such as paper cutters, bindery tools, and copiers.
- Understand Ricoh Services Portfolio & Technology; capture data for Ricoh MOR, SPG, and job logs.
- Pack, wrap and carry boxes up to 50 lbs from a counter to a cart.
- High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years related work experience; some related copy job experience preferred.
- May require valid driver’s license and minimum auto insurance coverage per Ricoh.
- Demonstrate competency in basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of copier and related equipment/repairs preferred.
- Requires knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures. Basic electronics knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly to complete projects.
- Ability to determine correct packing methods and materials and verify packing slips for incoming materials.
- Ability to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery; troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written technical information; strong customer relations and verbal communication skills.
